Formed in 1979, Kennaugh & Skinner is one of the island’s most respected building contractors. Operating from premises in Castletown, Port Erin and Malew we undertake domestic and commercial contracts, large and small. We also offer a spectrum of glazing services through our subsidiary, Southern Glazing Systems.

Timeline

1979 – John Kennaugh and Kevin Skinner goes into partnership as Kennaugh & Skinner Builders and Joiners.

1988 – John and Kevin are joined by Neil Shimmin to expand the firm’s glazing operations and a subsidiary, Neil Shimmin Glazing Systems, is formed.

2000 – John Kennaugh retires.

2011 – Neil Shimmin passes away and is replaced on the board of directors by Kevin’s son, Doug Skinner.

2012 – Terry Fox joins the board of directors.

2013 – Neil Shimmin Glazing Systems is renamed Southern Glazing Systems.
